IMPLEMENTING S.I.D.
TRAINING AVAILABLE
Advance provides up to date and engaging training to business leaders in the advanced techniques that underpin our S.I.D. model. There is strong evidence to demonstrate that destructive conflict is costly. Learning how to manage overt and covert conflict in your organisation will help improve bottom line performance, organisational morale and the ability of your teams to deliver innovative solutions to your customers.
Our experienced consultants are highly qualified mediators and arbitrators.They will guide trainees through the scientific theories that underpin proven techniques in the management of conflict at work. People will be introduced to the latest thinking from neuro-science and psychology. Collectively, our training modules will provide people with an understanding of the causes of conflict, its management and the means to convert conflict dynamics into creative outcomes.
We have four in-house training events that can be tailored to your organisation’s needs. Each have been designed to complement one another and the S.I.D. training materials shown elsewhere on this website. A downloadable PDF is available for each event. Alternatively, should you require an entirely bespoke solution, our consultants will be able to design and deliver an event to suit your specific requirements.

COURSE ONE: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE BENEFITS OF S.I.D.
An initial introduction to the benefits of S.I.D. can be provided at one of your organisation’s existing events, such as a Board dinner or away day. One of our consultants will introduce the concepts of S.I.D. and how S.I.D. can be used to manage workplace conflict. We have found that this presentation will be most effective if allowed to develop into a wider group discussion following the consultant’s presentation.
COURSE TWO: DEVELOPING SKILLS TO MANAGE CONFLICT
Developing the skills to manage conflict in the workplace is our second event. This workshop will equip business leaders with the core skills required to understand the issues contributing to the conflict and negotiate a mutually acceptable way forward. Using evidence-based research our consultants will share their experience and proven techniques.
COURSE THREE: FACILITATING CREATIVE CONFLICT
Facilitating Creative Conflict has been designed to help business leaders manage both high and low conflict scenarios. Building on the neuroscience and psychology of conflict, attendees will be provided with an understanding of the conditions in which destructive conflict occurs. They will then learn how to develop a systematic approach to encouraging creative conflict within teams.
COURSE FOUR: CLIENTS WITH SPECIFIC ISSUES TO ADDRESS
Clients with specific issues to address have used our workshop ‘Finding your S.I.D.s’. An in-house event, your workshop will help your team to identify and address the S.I.D.s at large. Attendees will be willing to discuss their concerns and needs openly, in a ‘safe space’, facilitated by our experienced practitioners.
All of the courses are designed to accommodate no more than 16 participants. They are highly interactive, informative and can be delivered at our base in Uttoxeter or at another location of your choice.
